What you’ll do

There’s a correlation between carbohydrates and certain metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Our goal is to reduce and possibly eliminate processed and simple carbs. Chef/Culinary Instructor John Bela will create a menu of delicious, carb-friendly options: Cuban Shrimp, Avocado and Tomato Salad; Italian Sausage and Lentil Soup; Beef Shepherd’s Pie with Cauliflower Topping and Mashed Sweet Potatoes. Dessert will be a yummy “Almond Joy.” Cut back on the Carbs, not the flavour.
