Cookbook author Hendrik Varju grew up with a Hungarian father, and certain food favourites were always top of mind. He will serve you a delicious bowl of White Bean Soup to start. This hearty dish really satisfies. He'll also make Hungarian-Style Mashed Potatoes with lots of sour cream while you work on your own Veal Wiener Schnitzel. For dessert, Hungary's version of a Beaver Tail, called "krumplis langos," a yeast-risen fried potato dough, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.
