Ingredients
Half a 600g package Longo’s Fresh Cut Watermelon (or about 12 cubes)
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp Longo’s Pure Liquid Honey
1 tbsp Longo’s Essentials 100% Canola Oil
1/4 tsp salt
1 large jalapeño, sliced
2 tbsp chopped fresh Longo’s Organic Mint, plus extra for serving
1 Longo’s Mini Cucumber
Directions
INGREDIENTS
1/2 Longo’s Marble Loaf Cake (approx.)
16 fresh cherries, pitted
2 tbsp melted salted butter
1 cup cherry flavoured yogourt
2 tbsp (about 1/2oz) grated dark chocolate (approx.)
BLACK FOREST MARBLE KABOBS
INGREDIENTS
1/2 Longo’s Marble Loaf Cake (approx.)
16 fresh cherries, pitted
2 tbsp melted salted butter
1 cup cherry flavoured yogourt
2 tbsp (about 1/2oz) grated dark chocolate (approx.)
DIRECTIONS
Trim outer edges of loaf cake as needed and cut into 16 equal-sized cubes.
Alternately thread cake and cherries onto four 12-inch skewers. Brush cake cubes lightly all over with melted butter.
Line grill with aluminum foil and lightly spray with Longo’s Canola Oil Cooking Spray.
Grill kabobs on foil on preheated grill over medium heat, turning often, for about 6 minutes or until lightly golden on all sides.
Meanwhile, blend yogourt with grated chocolate to combine.
Serve kabobs on platter, decorated with extra chocolate shaving, if desired, and yogourt dip on the side.
BANANA SPLIT KABOBS
INGREDIENTS
1 pkg (300g) Longo’s Fresh Cut Golden Pineapple (approx.)
1 large banana, sliced
1 pkg (396g) Longo’s Original Killer Brownies
8 whole fresh strawberries, hulled
4 skewers
2 tbsp chocolate sauce (approx.)
Longo’s Sweetened Flaked Coconut, toasted (optional)
Coconut or regular whipped cream
DIRECTIONS
Grill pineapple chunks over preheated greased grill over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes, turning often, or until nicely marked. Remove to plate.
Alternately thread pineapple chunks, banana slices, brownies and strawberries onto skewers. Drizzle skewers with chocolate sauce and sprinkle with coconut, if using. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
Tips: Use a grill pan or line grill with aluminum foil if your grates are widely spaced.
Toast coconut in small skillet set over medium-low heat, stirring often, for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden.
