Ingredients

4 cups mixed fresh berries suchas sliced strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries1/2 cup granulated sugar1/4 cup orange liqueur or fresh orange juice2 1/2 cups 35% whipping cream1/3 cup icing sugar2 tsp vanilla extract8 cups cubed Longo’s CuratoIl Panettone Pistachio Cream2 cans (400g each) ready toeat custard3/4 cup chopped pistachios (optional)Additional fresh berries(optional)

Directions

Gently stir berries with sugar and liqueur; set aside for 15 minutes to macerate, stirring occasionally.

Whip cream with icing sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.

Arrange half of the panettone cubes in a 12-cup trifle or large, straight-sided glass bowl. Dollop 1 can of custard over cubes. Spoon over half of the berries, being sure to drizzle with any juices. Top with half of the whipped cream, spreading evenly to the edges of the bowl. Sprinkle with half of the pistachios, if using. Repeat layers once.

Garnish the top of the trifle with additional fresh berries and remaining half of the pistachios, if using.

Tip: Replace some of the berries with chopped, drained canned peaches or chopped fresh apricots.
