Prep: 10 min

Cook: 5 min

Ingredients

125g Gruyère cheese, shredded

125g Emmental cheese, shredded

1 tbsp cornstarch

3/4 cup white wine

1 small clove garlic

1 Longo's Handcrafted Rustic Baguette, sliced

Apple and pear slices, cooked mini potatoes, Kielbassa chunks, cubed ham, grape tomatoes, cooked green beans, etc.

Directions

Toss both cheeses together with cornstarch to coat evenly.

Heat wine and garlic in heavy-bottom saucepan over medium-low heat until bubbles appear around the edge. Remove garlic clove. Whisk in cheese mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time, adding more as cheese melts.

Once smooth, pour cheese into fondue pot and set over fondue burner to keep warm, stirring as necessary and adjusting heat as necessary. Dip baguette, apple and pear slices, and anything else you're serving into the fondue to enjoy.

A Dash of Advice

Tip: Remove rind from cheeses and shred each to get about 1 1/4 cups of the Gruyère and 1 1/3 cups of the Emmental. For a garlicky fondue, mince the garlic before adding to the saucepan.
