Ingredients
250 g Longo’s lean ground beef
1 tbsp Longo’s Essentials chili powder
1 tsp Longo’s Essentials Ground Cumin
1 can (19 oz/540 mL) Longo’s Essentials Petite Cut Garlic & Oil Tomatoes
4 Longo’s Jumbo All Beef Hot Dogs
4 Longo’s Brioche Hot Dog Buns
1/2 cup Longo’s 3 Cheddar Shredded Cheese Blend
Garnishes (Longo’s Hot Pepper Rings, Longo’s Sliced Olives)
Chopped onions, ketchup, mustard, relish
1 bag (200 g) Longo’s Kettle Cooked Great Canadian Mix Potato Chips
Directions
Heat 1 tbsp Longo’s Mediterranean Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add beef and chili powder and cumin; cook for about 5 minutes or until browned. Add tomatoes and tsp each salt and pepper. Simmer gently for about 12 minutes or until liquid evaporates.
Score hot dogs in checkered pattern, if desired. Place hot dogs on preheated grill over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, turning often until browned and crispy. Place buns on grill to toast, if desired.
Place hot dogs in buns and spoon chili over top. Sprinkle with cheese and return to grill; close lid to melt cheese, if desired. Garnish with toppings as desired and serve with potato chips.
