MIKE’S STEAK SANDWICH

Ingredients
1 small sweet onion
1 tbsp Longo’s 100% Canola Oil
4 Longo’s Certified Angus Beef Fast-Fry Boneless Rib Steaks (about 400g)
2 tsp Longo’s Montreal-Style Steak Spice
2 Longo’s Gourmet Potato Buns
Crumbled blue cheese (optional)
Directions
Slice onion into 1-inch thick rings, keeping them together. Stick a toothpick or skewer through the onion rings to hold in place. Coat with oil.
Grill onions on preheated medium-high grill, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until golden and tender; set aside.
Sprinkle steaks all over with steak spice. Grill, turning twice, for about 5 minutes or until well grill-marked and a hint of pink remains inside.
Slice buns and tuck 2 steaks into each one. Remove toothpick from onions and divide among sandwiches. Crumble with blue cheese, if using.
