PEAMEAL BACON AND CHEDDAR SANDWICH

Ingredients

1 tbsp Longo’s Essentials 100% Pure Canola Oil

1 pkg (375g) Longo’s Regular Sliced Peameal Bacon

1 pkg (200g) Longo’s Brioche Buns

4 tsp Longo’s Grainy or Dijon Mustard

1 pkg (160g) Longo’s Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices

1 tomato, sliced

Lettuce leaves (optional)

Directions

Heat oil over medium-high heat and pan-fry peameal bacon for about 4 minutes, turning often, until golden brown.

Spread the bottom of the brioche buns with mustard and top each with 2 slices of cheese. Layer with peameal bacon, tomato and lettuce, if using. Place the top bun on each sandwich and serve.

Tips: Add some crunchy romaine or leaf lettuce for added texture and colour. Try other tasty toppings to complement your peameal sandwiches, like Longo’s Mayonnaise, Longo’s Muffuletta, Longo’s Apulian Bomba or Longo’s Ajvar.
