Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 20 min

Ingredients

4 Longo’s Mild Pork Italian Sausages

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

2 tbsp Longo’s Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

4 baguette rolls

8 slices Longo’s Italian Provolone Cheese Slices

1/2 cup Longo’s Curato Apulian “Bomba” Hot Cream Mixed Vegetables

Directions

Place sausages on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Toss green pepper and onion with oil and add to baking sheet. Roast in preheated 425°F oven, turning sausages once, for about 20 minutes or until sausages are golden and thermometer registers 160°F.

Meanwhile, cut rolls almost all the way in half so they are still attached on one long side. Place 2 slices of provolone into each roll. Place them on a baking sheet and put in oven for 5 minutes to toast rolls and melt cheese slightly.

Meanwhile, toss peppers and onion with bomba.

Remove rolls from oven and tuck sausages into each one. Top with pepper and onion bomba mix to serve.

TIP: Check out the vast varieties of sausages that Longo’s has to offer. Change up the sausage to best suit your taste.
