WALDORF INSPIRED TOSSED SALAD

Ingredients

12 cups Longo’s Prepared Mediterranean Salad Mix

1 each ripe pear and apple, chopped

1 cup red and/or green grapes, halved 2 ribs celery, thinly sliced

1 cup Longo’s Unsalted California Walnut Halves and Pieces, toasted (see tip)

1 cup cubed Longo’s Old or Medium Cheddar Cheese (optional)

Directions

Creamy Waldorf Dressing: Whisk sour cream with mayonnaise, lemon juice, maple syrup, Dijon, salt and pepper until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use (or up to 3 days). Combine salad mix, pear, apple, grapes and celery in large salad bowl. Sprinkle with walnuts and cheese, if using. Serve salad with dressing on the side.

A Dash of Advice

Toast walnuts in a single layer in a preheated 350°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes. You can replace the Mediterranean salad mix with any combo of your favourite Longo’s greens, such as prepared romaine, organic spring mix and/or baby spinach.
